A Message From Jan Barkby

Well, it is time for me to once again, change my goal as I have exceeded $500! WOW! Everyone is so incredible to have supported me this far! I have changed my profile picture to reflect just one of the Women Builds I have participated in. The young man front and center is the proud homeowner, who has now been in his Habitat home for over 3 years! He is just one of the many deserving families that I have had the pleasure to work along side to help make his dream of owning his own home a reality. Not only am I helping raise money for future home owners, but I am also earning some rewards along the way! So far I have earned a T-shirt, water bottle, who doesn't need more of those, PINK safety glasses, AND a PINK Tool Belt! (All of these items have been in-kind donations through other organizations) Please keep in mind that all of your donations are tax deductible and you will receive a mailed receipt for your donation. For anyone who has ever volunteered with Habitat, you know the feeling of gratitude you receive from each family you help. This is why Habitat does it and this is why I do it. With 10 days left, I am hoping to reach my new goal of $1000! Thank you again to those who have already supported me by donating and for supporting Habitat for Humanity and their efforts to provide affordable and decent housing!

In Support of Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity

Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
