Women come together from all walks of life to fundraise and build a Habitat home. Women have the strength and determinationnecessary to build Habitat houses, together we can address the problem of accessible housing in a concrete way so that families can achieve stability and independence. No experience is necessary.
Thank you for volunteering with Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity! We are on various build sites on Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays a month. All volunteers are required to register before they come to the build site.
The Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity ReStore relies on its volunteers to make sure that the store runs smoothly. The staff of the ReStore couldn't be more grateful for the volunteers that cashier, accept and process donations, assist with donation pick-ups, both residential and commercial, keep the metal recycling program running smoothly and provide excellent customer service. We thank you for helping us to continue to be successful in our mission to help build homes, communities, and hope in the Brown County area. If you have any questions about our ReStore volunteer opportunities, please contact Julia at 920-593-5792 or volunteer@greenbayhabitat.org. **You must attend a volunteer information session before you can register to volunteer**
This fiscal year, we have nine home builds planned. This remarkable growth would not be possible without the generous support of our community, and of Habitat homeowners faithfully making their mortgage payments. To maintain this rate of growth and to begin having a significant impact on Brown County's affordable housing crisis, we need every hand and every heart to join us in eliminating substandard housing conditions. Our homes have become a shelter from the cold Midwest winters, safety from the spread of COVID, a space for families to talk about their future, and a place to learn and work.
Partnering with churchesLocal churches come together to raise a roof, walls, funds and prayers to build a house in partnership with a family in their community.Volunteers can participate in both construction and non-construction activities. No previous construction experience required, and all building supplies are provided on-site.Non-construction ways to support a local Faith Build include providing lunch, fundraising and prayer.Churches, Thrivent clients and like-hearted volunteers are invited to participate. You’ll not only have fun together, you’ll strengthen your local community and build a better future for Habitat homeowners.
