A Message From Sarah Beckman

Dear Friends & Family! I am participating in the 2017 Women Build Week with Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity during the week of May 6-13, 2017. In addition to volunteering my time, I am also looking forward to raising money alongside all of the other Women Build Week volunteers to sponsor a Women Build home for the next build season. I've set my fundraising goal at $500 and would appreciate any donation you are able to give. All proceeds go directly to Habitat for Humanity and support their Home Building Program. Please reach out to me with any questions. Thanks in advance for your support! Sarah P.S. Here are some of my favorite Habitat Facts! -Habitat does not give away homes. Families pay a mortgage, property taxes and homeowners insurance. -Mortgages are made affordable through volunteer labor and no interest. -Families must qualify for a home based on their need, ability to pay and willingness to partner -The Habitat program changes lives. 75% of families have said their overall health has improved since moving into their home. 94% reported feeling safer since moving into their home. 91% of all homeowners reported feeling more financially stable in the first five years while 100% reported feeling more financially stable after being in their home longer than five years.

In Support of Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity

Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
