The Doxtater family came to Habitat for Humanity with one goal: to establish roots in the Green Bay community. The family has moved frequently between apartments and longed for something more permanent. They faced overcrowding, structural issues and a lack of security. These issues, and constantly moving between apartments was causing a strain on the family.
This is what led the Doxtater Family to apply for Habitat’s Homeownership Program. The family desires a safe and secure environment that is all their own. As the homeowner stated, “My goal for being a homeowner is to be a role model for my family and loved ones. I want them to know that no matter what life throws at you there is always opportunity.”

In Support of Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity

Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
